What to expect during your Radiofrequency Facial:

Before going ahead with this anti-ageing facial in Norwich, a consultation will occur. Our skin specialist will discuss your concerns, lifestyle habits and skincare during this appointment. During the treatment, you will lie comfortably on the treatment couch, where the procedure begins. Your skin will be cleansed with a range of mild medical-grade skincare products. This will ensure that the skin is prepped, clean and bacteria-free. Our skin specialists will apply a layer of medical glycerine to your face; this will feel slightly warm and oily. We will begin with an “ICE” cold natural rose quartz qua sha, this will be pressed and glided along all areas of the skin.

The “FIRE” Radiofrequency handpiece will then be pressed against your skin; this is the FIRE. The RF energy is produced through the handpiece, reaching up to 40 degrees of heat. The process can be described as a warm, tingling sensation which leaves the skin with an instant pink appearance. 

Once treated, our medical-grade Celluma LED device will be used to enhance your results. The skin will absorb these fantastic LED lights, which energise the fibroblast cell in the dermis; the cells become energised, produce collagen, increase elasticity and hyaluronic acid, and accelerate healing. This facial is amazingly comfortable and requires minimal downtime, and you can return straight to normal activities within 24-48 hours.

How it works:

During the facial, the qua sha is massaged gently and glides along to the skin to reduce tension relief and swelling and improve blood circulation. This relaxes the facial muscles increasing those endorphins. Next, the RF handpiece is massaged gently and glided along to the skin. The RF current will flow from the electrode’s device into your skin and heats the tissues beneath to stimulate collagen and elastin production. Collagen is the most common protein in your body, creating the framework/glue of your skin. Collagen is what gives your skin its firmness. As you age, your cells produce less collagen, which leads to sagging skin and wrinkles. Skin laxity occurs around 30 – 40 when your collagen’s quantity and quality decline.

This amazing facial trigger fibroplasia. Skin elasticity increases, and loose, sagging skin is tightened. At the same time, the molecules that make up collagen are left undamaged.
